Mother's Day Geranium

I went to my parent's house for Mother's Day and decided to take pictures of my mom's pretty geraniums. Little did my mother know, I plucked the pretty flowers and laid them in her empty bird bath! As mothers always do, she knew I was up to mischief and found the flowers in the bath...She was not too happy about this, however, she enjoyed my pictures( at least she enjoyed the original colored photos and not my "artistic style" of pics!

ATV Riding at Sand Dunes

I have great friends that are adventurous and enjoy being outside. They love to go riding 4-wheelers at the sand dunes, and as usual, I tag along! I ventured away from my comfort zone of follow the leader along the trails and decided to jump some dunes...with a little prodding from my friends to get me to try it. Not to boast or anything, but I did happen to jump higher than some of the other boys ; ) Ok, I'm boasting cause it was sooo Awesome!

(Above) Yep, that's me!

(Below) His name's Bowler..well, that's what I know him to be called.
(Below) Bowler's brother. I did a jump-dive to avoid getting plowed over when he jumped this hill. I didn't have anyone telling me where his line was, so I guessed where he was coming up from and it was a wrong guess. Luckily I made it out alive!

(Below) Jerrod-It was dark and he had a difficult time seeing his landing spot. If you look close, he has big ol' bug eyes cause he was a little nervous.

Nephew # 2

Harper has finally graced the pages of my blog (3 months later)! His big brother Jacoby has been previously shown with his goofy grin on here. Unlike his big bro, Harper's a better sleeper, TONS quieter, and not bald! If he eventually turns out to be like his brother....oy...their parents will constantly be on the go, go, go.

(Below) At 4 days old, he had more hair than his Papa. I decided he needed a baby mohawk!

Monster Jam World Finals 2011

"The Monster Jam World Finals is an annual monster truck event held in late March at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV." " It is the highest profile monster truck event in the country." This was my 1st year to attend, and it was awesome! It's amazing how fast and high these trucks get. We spent all day getting autographs of the drivers and watched the qualifier that night. The qualifier is to see what position the trucks would start the next day. They don't wear their "shells" or plastics in case they crash. The next day was the big event. Being the last event of the year, the fun thing to do was crash their trucks after racing, which was the best part for me!

(Below) Travis Pastrana's "Nitro Circus" driven by Cam McQueen, performaned an amazing backflip . It's a rare feat to flip a monster truck. The pictures don't give it justice! Check out the YouTube video for "Nitro Circus" and "Son-uva Digger."

Utah Landscapes

On the way to Las Vegas for World Finals Monster Jam (will be next post), we stopped at Lake Powell and in St. George Utah to see family of the friends I traveled with. We went hiking on Red Cliffs Nature Trail in St. George. The snow was melting on Pine Valley Mountains and filling the creeks with cold water. The fact that I know the water was cold is due to a little guy named Kaden that fell in while fetching his sister's flip-flop. (yeah, we hiked in flip-flops cause we're cool like that!) Other than that little mishap, the hike was beautiful!

It Really Is A Magical Kingdom!

I love Disney World! LOVE IT! Maybe because I still act like a child and watch cartoons all the time. No matter how old I am now, being a "big" kid at Disney World is still fun! I get to ride all the rides with the kids who's parents don't want to ride. It's changed a bit since I was a kid, but it's just as fun. Rides...good! Cartoon characters...good! Food...expensive, but good! Variety of people...uh...good and bad! Here's a few of my favorite characters and the infamous castle!

(Above) Mickey was getting his "groove" on during the parade! I think he was doing the robot! I pushed and knocked down little kids to get this shot and it was worth it. HA HA...not really.
(Above) Of course it's Minnie!

(Above) Goofy was totally checking out Minnie! Wonder if Mickey knows about this?

(Above) "Toy Story"- Woody and Jesse

(Below) The castle was constantly changing colors. I went "behind the scenes"to get these shots! Behind the scenes is the Employees Only entrances. I guess they assumed I was a character all my own and didn't question my being there!
